IRLSC Host Agreement

Effective 25 October 2026. Version 1.0.

This agreement is between In Real Life Social Connect Pty Ltd (ACN 685 034 315) as trustee for the KCB Trust, trading as IRL Social Connect, ABN 60 419 887 301 ("IRLSC") and you, the host named in your host profile ("Host"). It applies when you tick to accept it during host setup. The IRLSC Terms of Use, Community Guidelines and Hosting Guide also apply.

1. Our roles

1.1 You are the organiser and supplier of your events. You decide what the event is, run it and are responsible for delivering it as described.

1.2 IRLSC provides the platform. It lists your events, takes bookings and collects ticket payments as your agent, then pays you through Stripe.

1.3 You are an independent business. Nothing in this agreement makes you an employee, partner or agent of IRLSC.

1.4 IRLSC-run events are supplied by IRLSC and are not covered by this agreement.

2. Getting set up

2.1 You must have a valid ABN, complete Stripe Connect onboarding and keep your details accurate. The legal name on your ABN, Stripe account and bank account must match.

2.2 By completing Stripe onboarding you accept the Stripe Connected Account Agreement (stripe.com/au/legal/connect-account). Stripe, not IRLSC, holds your bank and ID details.

2.3 You can build drafts at any time. You can publish once Stripe confirms your account is ready.

3. Fees

3.1 IRLSC's fee is the greater of 10% of the ticket price or $4.00 per ticket. IRLSC is not registered for GST, so no GST is added to its fee. The fee is shown before you publish. If IRLSC registers for GST, it will give you 30 days' notice of any change.

3.2 IRLSC pays Stripe's card processing fees on your ticket sales. The "You receive" amount shown when you create an event is your payout per ticket, before any refunds, chargebacks or adjustments under clauses 5 and 6.

3.3 IRLSC can change its fee with at least 30 days' notice by email. A change does not apply to tickets already sold.

3.4 You are responsible for your own income tax and for any GST on your ticket sales. IRLSC will provide invoices for its fees. While IRLSC is not registered for GST, these are not tax invoices.

4. Payouts

4.1 When a ticket is paid, IRLSC transfers the ticket price less its fee to your Stripe account. Stripe then pays your bank account on your Stripe payout schedule.

4.2 IRLSC may delay a transfer for a specific event if there is a credible safety concern, a suspected fraud, or the event is under review for cancellation. We will tell you why and for how long.

5. Refunds

5.1 Every booking includes the IRLSC Ticket and Refund Policy as a minimum: no refunds for change of mind, a full refund if the event is cancelled or unpublished, eligible transfers and swaps up to 48 hours before, and all rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

5.2 You may offer more generous terms. You must not offer less or tell attendees anything different.

5.3 If you cancel an event or make a major change (date, venue, format or a key feature), attendees are entitled to a full refund. IRLSC will process those refunds through the platform.

5.4 If an attendee makes a valid ACL claim about your event, you are responsible for providing the remedy. IRLSC may process the refund on your behalf.

5.5 When IRLSC refunds a ticket, it reverses the matching transfer from your Stripe account. When an event is cancelled, attendees are refunded in full, including IRLSC's fee. If you cancel for reasons within your control, or IRLSC unpublishes the event under clause 11 because of your breach, you pay IRLSC a cancellation fee equal to IRLSC's fee on each refunded ticket. No cancellation fee applies if the cancellation is caused by IRLSC, or by events outside your reasonable control (such as a cyclone, venue closure, emergency or government direction) that you tell us about promptly. IRLSC may deduct the fee from your Stripe balance or future payouts, and you may dispute it under clause 14.2.

6. Chargebacks and amounts you owe

6.1 If an attendee disputes a payment with their bank and the dispute relates to your event, IRLSC may reverse the matching amount, plus Stripe's dispute fee, from your Stripe account. You will help with any evidence we need.

6.2 If your Stripe balance can't cover a refund or reversal, you must pay the shortfall within 14 days of our invoice. IRLSC may deduct it from your future payouts.

6.3 IRLSC bears the cost of disputes and refunds caused by its own error.

7. Running your events

7.1 You must:

Use public, licensed venues, never private homes

Be on site for the whole event and run it as described in your listing

Describe the event, price, inclusions, venue and age guidance accurately

Follow the IRLSC Hosting Guide and Community Guidelines

Make sure the venue provides responsible service of alcohol and meets food safety rules

Check in attendees through the app

Report any safety incident to IRLSC within 24 hours, and immediately if anyone is at risk

7.2 You may use IRLSC's age range and balanced-format settings only as the platform provides them. You must not refuse entry, or treat anyone differently, because of race, sexuality, gender identity, disability, religion or any other protected attribute. A guest's gender is as they identify it. You must never ask for proof.

8. Insurance

8.1 You must hold public liability insurance of at least $10 million that covers your events, and give IRLSC a certificate of currency on request.

8.2 A venue's own insurance is not enough unless your insurer or broker confirms in writing that it covers you as organiser.

9. Attendee information

9.1 You receive attendee information only to run the event. You must keep it secure, not copy it outside the platform, and not contact attendees about anything else or add them to marketing lists.

9.2 You must tell IRLSC within 24 hours if attendee information is lost, stolen or misused.

9.3 You must not record, photograph or film attendees without their consent.

10. Your content

You keep ownership of your event photos, logos and descriptions. You give IRLSC a non-exclusive licence to display and promote them for your events while this agreement is in place. You confirm you have the right to use that content.

11. Suspension and removal

11.1 IRLSC may unpublish an event or suspend your host account if:

there is a credible safety risk

you seriously or repeatedly breach this agreement or the Community Guidelines

we reasonably suspect fraud or misleading listings

the law or Stripe requires it

11.2 We will act in proportion to the issue. Where it is safe and lawful, we will give you notice, our reasons and a chance to respond. You can ask for a review at hello@inreallifesocialconnect.com. We aim to respond within 10 business days.

11.3 If an event is unpublished, attendees are refunded under clause 5. IRLSC holds or pays any remaining funds as set out in clauses 4 to 6.

12. Liability

12.1 Each party is responsible for its own acts and omissions.

12.2 You indemnify IRLSC for claims, losses and costs caused by your event, your breach of this agreement or your negligence, except to the extent caused by IRLSC.

12.3 To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss. IRLSC's total liability to you under this agreement is limited to the fees IRLSC received from your events in the previous 12 months.

12.4 Nothing in this agreement excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the ACL.

13. Ending this agreement

13.1 You may stop hosting at any time by unpublishing your events and telling us. Events with tickets sold must be run or cancelled with full refunds.

13.2 IRLSC may end this agreement with 30 days' notice, or immediately under clause 11.

13.3 Clauses 5, 6, 9 and 12 continue after this agreement ends.

14. Changes and disputes

14.1 IRLSC will give at least 30 days' email notice of changes. If you do not agree, you may end this agreement before the change takes effect.

14.2 If there is a dispute, both parties will first try to resolve it in good faith within 30 days.

14.3 This agreement is governed by the law of the Northern Territory.
